IVES Counterbalance Forklift Re-Certification course

Part 1 - Theory Evaluation
Part 1 starts with a written test based on the concepts covered in the operator's reference manual. The test consist of ten (10) multiple choice question. These tests are graded and returned to the trainees and then reviewed to ensure understanding. A minimum score of 70% is required to pass this phase of the program.

Part 2 - Practical Training
Part 2 is the hands-on portion of the program where trainees are shown the pre-use inspection, safe operating procedures, and parking/shut-down procedures and then given the opportunity to practice under the helpful eye of the program trainer.

Part 3 - Practical Evaluation
In Part 3 trainees are assessed as having reached a minimum skill level are individually evaluated using a counterbalanced forklift in a reasonably challenging course. Following this evaluation, trainees are de-briefed and given the opportunity to address any issues they may have regarding any phase of the program. Each successful trainee's employer will receive official records and documents shortly after the end of the program.

NOTE: Unique conditions specific to the equipment and/or working environment encountered by operators may require that employers provide additional training and evaluation where appropriate
